We offer the the most comfortable, stress-free, hassle-free and flexible self-guided walking holiday there is, giving you the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the stunning beauty of the coast and enjoy the cultural and culinary wonders of West Cornwall.
Our holidays are single base, staying at Lamorna House. Each one of our walking holidays is different, because every one of our guests is different.
When you arrive you are invited to settle in, unpack and relax before joining us in the Orangery for a welcome drink so we can get to know a little about you, and what you want, or don't want, from your holiday. We will then design a walking holiday which is completely personal to you, and completely flexible - you can change anything at any time.
Each day, after a good, healthy breakfast we will drive you to the start of your walk - in our campervan, Horace - and arrange a time to pick you up at the end.
The benefits of walking the south west coast path are endless and, happily, long-lasting. You will enjoy hours of peace, tranquility and headspace, wonder at the wildlife and the seascapes and find unexpected inspiration.
A good long walk breathing the fresh sea air does wonders for your health, fitness and stress levels. We hope you will go home feeling healthy, relaxed and energised. But we are sure you will also have lots of fun - as great are the challenges of this stretch of coastal walking, so are the rewards. And what is the challenge without the reward? Sandy beaches, refreshing sea swims, and the culinary delights from land, sea, vineyard and brewery served up in one of the many excellent cafes, bars and restaurants in West Cornwall.
Whether you want five long days walking, short walks each day followed by a lazy pub lunch, or some walking and some days off, we strive to design the perfect holiday for you. We don't have 'standard' walking holidays, but if you would like some idea of what is in store just click 'Walk'.
Comfortable rooms, with TVs, DVD players and some little luxuries to help make your stay feel special. When you are not walking, or playing, you are also welcome to relax in or our lovely orangery or garden with a book or a jigsaw. To find out more about our accommodation, and breakfast, click 'Rest'.
We can usually plan your walk to finish at a great beach, pub or restaurant, or you can take a day off. And we're picking you up, so if you want to while away an afternoon with a couple of pints and a sea view, perfect. Click 'Play' for more on where to eat, drink, sightsee and sunbathe.

We are both experienced walkers and have enjoyed many walking holidays: hiking in the USA and Switzerland, tramping in New Zealand, trekking in Malaysia, Borneo and Sri Lanka and walking (a lot of) the South West Coast Path. We kept coming back to Cornwall, so eventually we decided to stay! And the walking here is second to none.

No active holiday is complete for us without a hearty culinary reward at the end of the day. If you are like-minded then West Cornwall won't disappoint. Breweries, seafood, celebrity and celebrated chefs - you won't have to go far to find excellent food in award winning pubs and restaurants.
We live with Oscar, our miniature dachshund. He loves meeting new people, but unfortunately he is not used to sharing his house with other dogs or small children (under the age of 12).

"What a delightful place to stay. On a side lane off the main road through the sleepy village of Goldsithney. Its a gorgeous old house, and the hosts are fabulous. Very quickly making you feel at home. I stayed in the en-suite room, and I'd highly recommend it with a beautiful view of their garden. Can't say enough about how happy I was to stay at this place." Siobhan, USA
"Great hosts, beautiful home, lovely room, brilliant bathroom and a wonderful breakfast couldn't ask for more!" Alan, Australia
"We stayed for 2 nights over the weekend and loved every minute of it. The place is beautiful and immaculate. The breakfast was fantastic. We felt so welcome, I would definitely stay again." Henry and Gabby, UK
"John's house is simply the best! My wife and I are walking the Coast Path from Falmouth to St. Ives and this was the best place we stayed over the 10+ days, by far. Homemade granola, yogurt and preserves; bathrobes; a bathtub big enough for two; and Cornwall's most magically soft mattress. It was so nice, we stayed there twice. Also, if you stop there on a Wednesday, get the pizza from a van." Nathan and Kristen, USA
"We had a really lovely stay at John and Helen's. They were very welcoming from the start and we were able to sit with them on arrival in their beautiful garden, enjoying the view and playing with Oscar the dog. The room and bathroom were immaculately clean and even included bathrobes and slippers which made it extra special! Breakfast was delicious with so much choice - we particularly loved the homemade granola! They were such hospitable hosts; we really felt at home from the moment we arrived and thoroughly enjoyed the entirety of our stay. Would definitely recommend staying at John and Helen's if you're ever down in this part of Cornwall!" Rachel and George, UK
"For our first time in Cornwall we stayed at the beautiful Lamorna House with John, Helen and Oscar. What a special treat! John and Helen are among the nicest people we have met! Their hospitality had us feel totally at home in no time! The room and bathroom are perfect and super clean. We could feel the love and care that was put in every detail in the house. Breakfast was great!!! Oscar is the cutest Dachshund we know! We could go on and on with praising our stay! But just go there and find out yourself! We'll be back!" Roy and Marion, Netherlands
